history

Nová Ves was first mentioned in writing in 1391 under the Chlum Castle estate . After the end of the Hussite Wars , the Chlum rule was divided. Nová Ves was initially added to the Vrbice manor and connected to the Světlá manor . After the murder of Adam Erdmann Trčka von Lípa, Emperor Ferdinand II confiscated his property and those of his father Jan Rudolf Trčka von Lípa on March 29, 1634 , the total estimated value of which was 4,000,000 guilders ; the confiscation patent was confirmed in May 1636 by the Reichshofrat in Vienna. Ferdinand II had the rule of Světlá broken up into landed goods and sold them to his favorites. Nová Ves became part of the Ledeč nad Sázavou rule . In 1740 Nová Ves was called a town, around 135 people lived in the 17 houses. In 1775 Maximilian Krakovský von Kolowrat bought the landed estate Neudorf with Hüttenhöfel and gave it to his rule Goltsch-Jenikau .

In 1840 the village of Neudorf or Nowá wes in the Caslauer Kreis consisted of 27 houses in which 221 people, including a Jewish family, lived. There was an inn in the village. The stately Meierhof Hüttenhöfel or Dworek with the apartment of the economic controller and a hunter's house was off the beaten track . The parish was Wlkaneč . Until the middle of the 19th century, Neudorf remained subject to Goltsch-Jenikau.

After the abolition of patrimonial Nová Ves formed a community in the judicial district of Habern from 1849 . From 1868 the place belonged to the Časlau district . In 1869 Nová Ves had 326 inhabitants and consisted of 42 houses. Traffic on the Deutschbrod – Goltsch-Jenikau line began at the end of 1870. In 1900 there were 237 people in Nová Ves , in 1910 there were 224. In the 1920s, the district of Kamenná Lhota 2. díl from Vlkaneč to Nová Ves was reassigned. In 1930 Nová Ves had 208 inhabitants and consisted of 39 houses. Kamenná Lhota 2. díl lost its district status in 1948. Since the territorial reform of 1960, the municipality has belonged to Okres Havlíčkův Brod ; as it was also the result that three communities with the name Nová Ves now belonged to the same district, their names were now differentiated according to the cadastre. Since then the village has been called Nová Ves u Leštiny . In the 2001 census, 105 people lived in the community's 42 houses.
