history

Olešná was probably founded at the transition from the 12th to the 13th century near the Haberner Landessteig, an important trade route from Prague to Moravia and Austria, by the Wilmzell Benedictine monastery . The Kejžlicer Steig passed through the village and crossed the Haberner Steig between Skuhrov and Olešná. During the Hussite Wars , Hynek Špetle von Žleb owned the Olešná manor. After 1509 Nikolaus Trčka von Lípa acquired the estate and gave it to his rule Světlá . After the murder of Adam Erdmann Trčka von Lípa, Emperor Ferdinand II confiscated his property and those of his father Jan Rudolf Trčka von Lípa on March 29, 1634 ; the confiscation patent was confirmed in May 1636 by the Reichshofrat in Vienna.

Ferdinand II sold the confiscated goods to favorites. In 1636 the imperial general Johann Reinhard von Walmerode on Nymburk received the rule of Habry and the Olešná estate. He showed little interest in the new property, but couldn't find a buyer. According to the list of souls from 1651, 46 people lived in the village. Walmerode's son separated the goods Olešná, Dolní Krupá and Horní Krupá again from the Habry rule and sold them to Johann Mencl von Bernfels. This united them to a good Unter-Kraupen . The barons Schönowetz von Ungerswerth and Adlerslöwen had owned the estate since the beginning of the 18th century. Thaddäus Dismas Schönowetz had the chapel built on the village square in 1775. The Meierhof Woleschna was emphyteutized in 1789 . From 1830 the owners of the Ober- and Unter-Kraupen estate including Woleschna changed in quick succession.

In 1840 the village of Woleschna , also known as Groß-Woleschna , in the Caslauer Kreis , consisted of 60 houses in which 378 people, including 14 Protestant families, lived. There was a private chapel of St. Florian and an inn. The Dominikal settlement Rothenthal ( Červený Důl ), consisting of two houses, was consolidated after Woleschna . The Catholic parish was Skuhrow . The Protestants were assigned to the Močowitz pastorate . In 1843 Karl Mladota von Solopisk acquired the Kraupen estate. In 1847 a Helvetian tolerance church was established in Ober-Kraupen , which was assigned as a branch to the new pastorate of Sazau the following year . Woleschna remained subject to the Kraupen estate until the middle of the 19th century .

After the abolition of patrimonial Volešná formed from 1849 a municipality in the judicial district Deutschbrod . From 1868 the place belonged to the district Deutschbrod . In 1869 Volešná had 464 inhabitants and consisted of 67 houses. Volešná was an agricultural village at that time; In 1870 there was a weaver, a blacksmith and a wheelwright in the village, the rest of the residents were farmers. Since the end of the 19th century, some of the residents have been earning their living in Deutschbrod through wage labor - mainly in the construction industry. In 1900 there were 443 people in Volešná , in 1910 there were 425. Since 1924, Olešná has been used as a community name. In 1930 Olešná had 376 inhabitants and consisted of 75 houses. The peasants' resistance to forced collectivization continued for a long time after 1948, and it was not until 1958 that a JZD was founded . Between 1974 and 1976, a cultural center was built as part of Aktion Z. Between 1980 and 1990 Radostín was incorporated. The JZD was transformed into Solmilk as after 1990. In the 2001 census, 302 people lived in the community's 103 houses.
