Skorkov (German Skorkau ) is a municipality in the Czech region of Vysočina . It is located ten kilometers southeast of the city center of Humpolec and belongs to the Okres Havlíčkův Brod .

geography

Skorkov is located on the left side above the valley of the brook Úsobský potok in the Křemešnická vrchovina ( Křemešník Mountains ). The D 1 / E50 / E65 motorway runs to the west and south of the village . In the north rises the Olšina (612 m nm), southeast of the Na Skále (611 m nm), in the south of the Kašparův vrch (650 m nm) and southwest of the Temník (660 m nm). Skorkovský rybník is located to the northwest.

Neighboring towns are Nohavický Mlýn and Kukačka in the north, Chválkov and Úsobí in the north-east, Ludvíkov and Maliní in the east, Kosovy and Skalka in the south-east, Zbinohy and Zbinožský Mlýn in the south, Velešovský Dvůr, Velešov in the west, Vlčlovina u as well as Slavníč , U Dvořáků, Na Pile and Herálec in the north-west.

history

The first written mention of the village was carried out in 1379 among the goods of the archbishop's rule Herálec . In 1785 there were 31 houses in Skorkov, in which 211 people lived.

In 1840 the village of Skorkau or Skorkow in the Caslauer Kreis consisted of 43 houses in which 342 people lived. There was an inn in the village. There was a board mill to one side. The parish was Heraletz. Until the middle of the 19th century, Skorkau remained subject to the Heraletz rule.

After the abolition of patrimonial Skorkov formed a municipality in the judicial district of Humpoletz from 1849 . From 1868 the village belonged to the Deutschbrod district . In 1869 Skorkov had 346 inhabitants and consisted of 48 houses. In 1900 there were 347 people living in Skorkov, in 1910 there were 362. On July 1, 1910, the municipality became part of the newly established Humpoletz district . In 1930 Skorkov had 342 inhabitants and consisted of 64 houses. In the course of the territorial reform of 1960 and the abolition of the Okres Humpolec, the municipality was assigned to the Okres Havlíčkův Brod . On July 1, 1975 it was incorporated into Herálec. Skorkov broke away from Herálec on November 24, 1990 and formed its own community. In the 2001 census, 84 people lived in the 58 houses in the community.
