history

Skuhrov was probably founded at the transition from the 12th to the 13th century by the Wilmzell Benedictine monastery on Haberner Steig, an old trade route to Moravia , which at that time gained increasing importance due to the silver mines near Deutschbrod . The first written mention of the village and the parish church took place in 1352. Skuhrov belonged to the Habern monastery rule with 26 other villages until the Hussite Wars . After the destruction of the monastery by the Hussites , various secular lords first seized the extensive monastery property, and finally the lords of Habry and Světlá fell to King Sigismund . After 1429, he left it to Nicholas I Trčka of Lípa , who slammed the goods of his rule Lipnice . The Skuhrov parish became extinct during the Hussite Wars. With the relocation of the manor to Světlá, Skuhrov became part of the Světlá domain. After the murder of Adam Erdmann Trčka von Lípa, Emperor Ferdinand II confiscated his property and those of his father Jan Rudolf Trčka von Lípa on March 29, 1634 ; the confiscation patent was confirmed in May 1636 by the Reichshofrat in Vienna.

Ferdinand II had the rule of Světlá broken up into landed goods and sold them to his favorites. Skuhrov was assigned to the Habern rule , which the imperial general Johann Reinhard von Walmerode acquired on Nymburk in 1636 . He showed little interest in the new property, but found no buyer. In 1666 Johanna Eusebia Barbara Zdiarsky von Zdiar bought the Habry estate from the underage Walmerod heirs. The Countess Caretto di Millesimo by marriage sold Habry in 1681 to Johann Sebastian von Pötting and Persing on Žáky . Adolph Felix von Pötting and Persing had the church restored in 1727 and, together with the Kraupner landlord Franz Leopold Schönowetz von Ungerswerth, founded a parish that included two subsidiary churches in Unter-Kraupen (until 1762) and Lutschitz (until 1787). In 1808 Adolph von Pötting and Persing sold the Habern estate with the attached estates Tieß and Zboží to Johann von Badenthal, from whom his son Joseph inherited them in 1814.

In 1840 the village of Skuhrow , located in the Caslauer Kreis on Wiener Straße, consisted of 43 houses in which 333 people, including a Jewish family, lived. The parish church of St. Nicholas, the parish and the school. There was also an official farm and an inn in the village. Aside from that lay the layers of Baudisch and Baudu (3 houses, including a mill) and Mehlunka and Melmuka . Skuhrow was the parish for Radostin , Woleschna with Rothenthal ( Červený Důl ), Wesela ( Veselá ) and Sedletin . Until the middle of the 19th century, Skuhrow remained subordinate to Habern.

After the abolition of patrimonial Skuhrov formed a community in the judicial district of Habern from 1849 . From 1868 the place belonged to the Časlau district . Franz von Puthon, who had acquired the manor of Habern with Tieß and Zboží in 1862, sold it in 1869 to Franz Altgraf von Salm-Reifferscheidt-Hainspach on Světlá . In 1869 Skuhrov had 362 inhabitants and consisted of 44 houses. After the death of Franz von Salm-Reifferscheidt, the manor fell to his sister Johanna verw. from Thun and Hohenstein to Klösterle and Žehušice , in 1892 her son Joseph Oswald von Thun-Hohenstein-Salm-Reifferscheidt inherited the large estate. In 1900 Skuhrov lived 341 people, in 1910 there were 371. In 1930 Skuhrov had 314 inhabitants and consisted of 69 houses. In 1949 the community was assigned to the Okres Havlíčkův Brod . In the 2001 census, 249 people lived in the 85 houses in the community.
