history

Slavníč was probably founded in the second half of the 12th century, when silver mining began. In a wide strip from Pavlov via Kamenice to Koječín and Radňov , Pingen are evidence of medieval mining. At Nohavický potok there was a smelter on Huťský rybník, from which the field name Lesanka stříbrná testifies to numerous slag remains .

The first written mention of the village of Slavani took place in 1226 in a document from Pope Honorius III. as part of the Heraletz estate belonging to the Selau monastery .

In 1840 the village of Slavnich or Slavnic in the Caslau district consisted of 39 houses in which 287 people lived. There was an inn and a mill with an oil pounder in the village. The parish was Heraletz. Until the middle of the 19th century, Slavnich remained subject to the Heraletz rule.

After the abolition of patrimonial Slavníč formed from 1849 a district of the municipality Pavlov in the judicial district of Humpoletz . From 1868 the village belonged to the Deutschbrod district . In 1869 Slavníč had 269 inhabitants and consisted of 42 houses. In the 1880s Slavníč broke away from Pavlov and formed its own community. In 1900 there were 250 people in Slavníč, in 1910 there were 205. On July 1, 1910, the village became part of the newly established Humpoletz district . In 1930 Slavníč had 215 inhabitants and consisted of 45 houses. In the course of the territorial reform of 1960 and the abolition of the Okres Humpolec, the municipality was assigned to the Okres Havlíčkův Brod . On July 1, 1974, it was incorporated into Herálec. Slavníč broke away from Herálec on November 24, 1990 and formed its own community. In the 2001 census, 40 people lived in the community's 42 houses.
