history

The place was probably created at the transition from the 13th to the 14th century during the colonization activities of the Seelau monastery . Ausobium was first mentioned in a document in 1307. The German name Pollerskirchen was later used . In 1436 , King Sigismund handed over the Seelau monastery property, orphaned during the Hussite Wars , to the protection and administration of Nikolaus Trčka von Lípas with the consent of the abbot who had fled to Iglau . After Georg von Podiebrad had assigned the monastery property to the Trčka von Lípa in 1458 in the land tablet, Burian Trčka von Lípa established the Jenikau dominion . In 1601 the Trčka Jenikau sold the Jihlava citizen Matthias Stubegg Knight of Königstein ( Matyáš Štubik z Kynigštejna ). When the Jenikau dominion was divided among the sons Matthias Stubegg, Pollerskirchen was separated from Jenikau in 1606 and became the seat of a dominion. In 1653 the village was referred to as Ausoba and subsequently as Ousobí . In 1708 Michael Achatius von Kirchner bought the Ousobí manor (with the villages Ousobí, Cibotín, Chválkov and Dobrohostov) together with the Okrouhlice manor including Věž for a total of 43,000 guilders to his rule Herálec with Humpolec . At the end of the 18th century, the Pollerskirchen rule reached its economic boom. In 1779 a glass grinding shop was established, owned by the Sacher, Wagner and Grossmann families. The owner of the Pollerskirchen dominion, Leopold Fučikovský von Grünhof, achieved the elevation of Pollerskirchen to a town and the award of a town coat of arms and banner under Emperor Leopold II in 1789 . From 1846 the glass factory operated as Ig. Grossmann's son .

After the abolition of patrimonial Pollerskirchen formed a market town in the Deutschbrod district with the Kosovy district from 1850 . The volunteer fire brigade, founded in 1872, was one of the first in Vysočina . At the beginning of the 20th century, the glass factory switched its production from soda-lime glass to lead crystal . The place name Úsobí has been used since 1920 . The Ig company also merged in 1920 . Grossmann's son with Gebr. Pallme-König GmbH to the United Glashüttenwerke Pallme-König & Habel, Ig. Grossmann Sohn GmbH, costs at Teplitz and Pollerskirchen . In 1945 the glass cutting shop was nationalized. Chyška has been a part of Úsobí since 1976. In 1997, the glass cutting shop belonging to the Sklárny Bohemia Jihlava plant was closed. On June 22nd, 2007 Úsobí received again the status of Městys.
