history

Silver mining began in the region in the 13th century. A mountain settlement with a mountain church and cemetery has been found on today's one-shift U Kostelíka.

The first written mention of the village Schonlinden , which belongs to the Lipnice domain , was made in 1351. The Czech name Krasna Lipa was first passed down from 1383 . The owners were initially the Wartenbergs , who sold the goods to Nikolaus Trčka von Lípa in 1436 . In 1496, Jan Lipský von Lípa owned the Lípa farm and the Waldhof (Lipský Dvorek) and Hammerhof (Malá Lípa) farms. In 1496 the village was named Lípa , 1544 Lippy and 1629 Przy Lippy .

After the abolition of patrimonial rule , the political municipality of Lippy in the Deutschbrod district was established in 1850 . The Czech and German names Lípa and Linden have been in use since 1854 . In 1875 a major fire destroyed almost the entire village.

During the German occupation , the Central Office for Jewish Emigration set up a re-education camp for young Jewish men with around 400 places on the Kraus-Gut in Linden in July 1940. Inmates were used to work in agriculture and should be trained to become accustomed to discipline. At the same time, they were used for extraordinary events such as B. used in railway construction or snow removal. By the time the camp was closed in February 1945, a total of 1,353 people were imprisoned in Linden. Most of them were sent to the Theresienstadt concentration camp . It is believed that around a hundred of the inmates survived World War II.

At the beginning of 1961 Petrkov and in 1976 Dobrohostov were incorporated with Chválkov.
