history
The first written mention of Horní Paseka comes from 1265. The village was probably laid out as a logging settlement in the middle of the woods. Horní Paseka was owned by the lords of Paseka in the 15th century, followed by Trčka von Lípa , whose property was confiscated after the Battle of White Mountain . In 1636 Jaroslav Sezima Rašín acquired the places Horní Paseka and Rejčkov from Chotěboř and joined them to his rule Chotěboř . 1707 acquired the owner of the Dolní Kralovice estate , Johann Leopold Donatus von Trautson and Falkenstein, Horní Paseka together with Kaliště and Zahrádka. Horní Paseka belonged to this rule until the replacement of patrimonial rule in 1848. After that it was part of the municipality of Sachradka (Zahrádka).
The remote little town was only connected to the electricity grid in 1962. On August 27, 1969, the Czechoslovak government passed a resolution to liquidate the Zahrádka area. In 1974 the Švihov dam was completed and the Zahrádka in the Želivka valley was closed . Zahrádka and Staré Hamry were flooded in 1976. In 1971 Horní Paseka was incorporated into Rejčkov with the one- shift Studénky and Hory. Together with Rejčkov, Horní Paseka became a district of Dolní Město in 1976 . In 1990, the village became independent for the first time in its history.
