Ẽfini ( phonetic for French infini , "infinite"; Japanese ア ン フ ィ ニ , Anfini ) was an automobile brand founded in 1990 by the Japanese automobile manufacturer Mazda , which was only sold on the Japanese home market. The company headquarters are in Osaka . With the exception of the Ẽfini MS-8 , all models were products of badge engineering . From 1990 to 1996 Ẽfini Incorporation was also the general importer for vehicles from the French automobile brand Citroën . In 1996 Mazda gave up the name as an automobile brand and has since then only continued to use it as a trademark for one of its dealer networks. The brand-internal model name MS stood for Megalo Spirits .
