(2661) Bydžovský ( 1982 FC 1 ; 1950 EE ; 1969 TG 4 ; 1971 DO ; 1974 SU 2 ; 1979 RM 1 ) is an asteroid of the outer main belt that was discovered on March 21, 1982 by the Czech (then: Czechoslovakia ) astronomer Zdeňka Vávrová at the Kleť Observatory on the Kleť near Český Krumlov in the Czech Republic ( IAU code 046). It belongs to the Eos family, a group of asteroids named after (221) Eos .

designation

(2661) Bydžovský was named after the Czech-Czechoslovak mathematician Bohumil Bydžovský (1880–1969), who was a professor of mathematics at Charles University in Prague . He was born in Veselí nad Lužnicí ; the asteroid (2599) Veselí and (2321) Lužnice are named after this town .
