(2670) Chuvashia ( 1977 PW 1 ; 1938 UD ; 1950 XZ ; 1957 AL ) is an approximately 21 km large asteroid of the outer main belt , which was discovered on August 14, 1977 by the Russian (then: Soviet Union ) astronomer Nikolai Stepanowitsch Tschernych at the Crimean Observatory (Nautschnyj branch) on the Crimean peninsula ( IAU code 095). It belongs to the Eos family, a group of asteroids named after (221) Eos .

(2670) Chuvashia was named after the former Chuvash Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic .
