(6009) Yuzuruyoshii is an asteroid of the main inner belt discovered on March 24, 1990 by the American astronomer Eleanor Helin at the Palomar Observatory ( IAU code 675) in California . Unconfirmed sightings of the asteroid had already occurred on April 26, 1952 (1952 HE 3 ) at the McDonald Observatory in Texas and on November 27, 1957 (1957 WJ 1 ) at the Goethe Link Observatory in Indiana .
The orbit of the asteroid around the sun is strongly inclined at more than 22 ° to the ecliptic of the solar system .
(6009) Yuzuruyoshii is named after Yuzuru Yoshii , the director of the Institute for Astronomy at the University of Tokyo . The nomination took place on October 29, 2012.
