The 1st Amateur League Hessen 1952/53 was the third season of the Football Hessen League as the third highest division. The champions qualified for the promotion round to the second highest German league, the II division . The champions were FC Hanau 93 , which also won and rose the following round of promotion to Division II . Germania Bieber , Hermannia Kassel and SG Hessen Hersfeld had to relegate .

Borussia Fulda took part in the German amateur championship in 1953  , where it failed in the group stage.
