The 1962/63 season was the 41st season of the 1 re série , the highest French ice hockey division . The Chamonix Hockey Club became champions for the 19th time in the club's history .

In the main round, the league was divided into two groups (Paris / Alpes). The first two of the two groups qualified for the final round, in which the champions were played. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a defeat.
