The 2002-03 season of the 2. Bundesliga Volleyball Men was the twenty-ninth edition of this competition.

2nd Bundesliga North

VV Humann Essen became champions and promoted to the 1st Bundesliga . USC Braunschweig and Telekom Post SV Bielefeld were relegated.

The champions were the second team of VfB Friedrichshafen. The second and third placed VC Markranstädt and SG Eltmann rose to the 1st Bundesliga . TV Biedenkopf and VC Offenburg were relegated. The FTM Schwabing exchanged their playing rights with the regional league club SV Lohhof .
