Large format mural "Racetrack" by 3Steps in Wetzlar, 2012

Early work

In the course of the 2000s, 3Steps' style developed from classic New York style writing to large-format wall paintings, so-called murals . Since then, 3Steps has left work all over the world, from Gießen and Wetzlar to Munich and Berlin to London, Milan, Venice, LA and New York.

Work from 2010

Today's style of 3Steps includes influences from street art as well as style writing , photo realism , printmaking and pop art . The young works by 3Steps are contemporary reflections on today's world, which is shaped by changing environments made up of reality, fiction, advertising, media and dream worlds. The central subject of 3Steps' works are motifs that tell the viewer a special story. In terms of design, 3Steps take up characters, moments and scenes from everyday life as significant elements. In terms of content, the collective deals with the controversy of real parallel worlds.

The 3Steps portfolio includes works from large-format mural art to street art, paintings on wood and canvas, photographs and prints to installations. 3Steps use diverse techniques of creative urban forms of expression: wall painting with wall paint and spray cans, stencil technique ( stencil ), installations or the pasting of posters ( paste-up ).
