The A * Teens were a Swedish pop group that in 1998 in Stockholm as ABBA Teens was formed and disbanded of 2004.
history
Marie, Amit, Dhani and Sara were cast in 1998 as part of an ABBA project in a dance school by the record company Stockholm Records (today: Universal Music / Vivendi ). The band's original name was ABBA Teens . The band name was changed to A * Teens in order to later cover songs by other bands and to be able to sing their own songs.
On their first album The ABBA Generation , which was released at the end of 1999 , the band only recorded cover versions of various ABBA hits in the Eurodance style. They spent most of 2000 touring with * NSYNC and Britney Spears . The album Teen Spirit was released in early 2001 . This was followed by the third LP New Arrival in mid-2003 with the album Pop 'til You Drop! . A greatest hits album followed in the summer of 2004 after the group had taken a break. In the same year the band separated. In spring 2006 the first solo single was That's the Way My Heart Goes by Marie Serneholt published in Sweden. The song was among the top 3. The album accompanying it is called Enjoy the Ride .
Sara Helena Lumholdt released a solo single called Let's Get Physical in Sweden in 2007 under the name Sara Love , before reaching number 48 in the Swedish charts with the single Glamor Bitch .
