The Belgian motorway 25 , also on French. Autoroute 25 or Dutch Called Autosnelweg 25 , it starts in Moelingen on the Dutch border and ends in Liège . Their total length is 22 km.

It connects the Dutch city of Maastricht with Liège, the A25 is part of the E25 , which continues from Liège via the A26 towards Luxembourg. The Liège – Maastricht railway line runs parallel to the A25 and is bundled with transport routes . The A25 / E25 merges into the A2 at the Dutch border .

history

Construction was originally planned to start in 1974. However, construction was delayed due to lending problems. The traffic handover should actually take place in 1981. Due to these problems, completion was planned for 1990. Ultimately, the two sections from Liège to Cherlatte and on to the Dutch border were opened in 1987.
