Course of the road

The A907 road is an A-road in the Scottish Council Areas of Fife , Clackmannanshire and Stirling .
course
The A907 forms the extension of the A92 coming from Stonehaven . It starts at a roundabout over the M90 between the villages of Crossgate and Halbeath , which the A92 joins when coming from the east. It runs west through Halbeath and forms one of the main thoroughfares of Dunfermline . In the city center it runs for a few hundred meters along with the A823 ( Rosyth - Muthill ). The A994 branches off on the western edge of Dunfermline . This creates a connection to the A985 , which connects the villages on the north coast of the Firth of Forth to the trunk road network.
Two miles west of Dunfermline, the A907 enters Oakley and Comrie . It touches the hamlet of Blairhall and leads through the sparsely populated west of Fife. After a total of 21 km, the A907 crosses the A977 ( Kincardine - Kinross ), which marks the border between Fife and Clackmannanshire on this section. The A907 leads northwest, touches Clackmannan , where it crosses the Black Devon , and reaches Alloa . There it forms one of the main roads and takes on the A908 coming from Tillicoultry . To the northwest it touches Tullibody and reaches the Council Area Stirling by crossing the Devon . The A907 crosses the A91 ( Bannockburn - St Andrews ) and ends in Causewayhead , a suburb of Stirling , near the Wallace Monument . After a total distance of 36.1 km it joins the A9 ( Polmont - Scrabster ).
Tullibody Old Bridge
Formerly the A907 crossed the Devonian over the 16th century Tullibody Old Bridge . In 1920, however, it was replaced by a new bridge nearby. But this bridge has also been replaced by a modern bridge in the meantime. Because of its high architectural significance, the Tullibody Old Bridge is classified as a monument of the highest Scottish monument category A and as a Scheduled Monument .
