The ABU Radio Song Festival 2015 was the third edition of the annual ABU Radio Song Festival . The festival, which is not a competition, took place on May 29, 2015 in the Yangon National Theater. Although the Radio Festival was originally only supposed to take place every other year, it was decided to hold it annually from 2014. Of the 17 entries that were sent in, only ten were allowed to take part in the festival. In addition to the host from Myanmar, the island nation of Maldives made its debut.
venue
Yangon is a city in Myanmar and the capital of the Yangon Division. With around 4.4 million inhabitants in the actual city and 5,990,318 inhabitants in the agglomeration, Yangon is the largest city and the industrial center of the country. Up until 2005, Rangoon was the capital of Myanmar, and the seat of government was moved to Naypyidaw .
The Rangoon National Theater opened in 1991 and was largely funded by the People's Republic of China.
