Abdullah bin Mutaib Al Saud ( Arabic عبد الله بن متعب آل سعود, DMG ʿAbd Allāh b. Mutʿib Āl Saʿūd ; * October 13, 1984 in London ) is a Saudi Arabian prince and equestrian .

Personal

Prince Abdullah is the grandson of the former Saudi King Abdullah . He studied law at King Saud University in Riyadh.

Career

He began equestrian sports at the age of seven and made his international debut in 2002. In 2006 he won the gold medal in show jumping with the Saudi team at the Asian Games in Doha. In the individual competition he was eighth. In 2008 he took part in the Olympic Games for the first time on Obelix . With the team he reached rank 11, as an individual rider ranked 54.

In 2012 he won the bronze medal in show jumping with the Saudi team at the Olympic Games in London on Davos .

From May 2012 he trained with Paul Schockemöhle in Germany. The Saudi Arabian team has been trained by Stanny van Paesschen since 2010 . At the end of April 2014, the Saudi Arabian Equestrian Federation announced that Prince Abdullah would end his international sports career. He remains connected to the equestrian sport, among other things as patron of tournaments in his home country.
