(2671) Abkhazia ( 1977 QR 2 ; 1973 UY 5 ) is an asteroid of the central main belt that was discovered on August 21, 1977 by the Russian (then: Soviet Union ) astronomer Nikolai Stepanowitsch Tschernych at the Crimean Observatory (Nautschnyj branch) on the Crimean peninsula ( IAU code 095) was discovered.
