(2672) Písek ( 1979 KC ; 1937 NP ; 1953 EJ 1 ; 1953 ET 1 ; 1978 EF 1 ) is an approximately 23 kilometers large asteroid of the central main belt , which was discovered on May 31, 1979 by the Slovak (then: Czechoslovakia ) astronomer Jaroslav Květoň was discovered at the Kleť observatory on the Kleť near Český Krumlov in the Czech Republic ( IAU code 046). It belongs to the Eonomia family, a group of asteroids named after (15) Eunomia .

(2672) Písek was named after the town of Písek in the Okres Písek in Jihočeský kraj in the Czech Republic .
