Adam Bartley (born January 28, 1979 in Minnesota ) is an American actor . He gained fame primarily through the role of Deputy Sheriff Archie Ferguson from the Longmire series .

life and career

Adam Bartley comes from the US state of Minnesota, where he graduated from Eden Prairie High School in 1997 . In 2001 he graduated from Southern Methodist University , Texas, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in acting. During his time there, he worked on the side at the home games of the Dallas Mavericks in the Reunion Arena .

After his time at university, Bartley performed theater productions in New York City , Chicago , and Alaska and worked in Aspen , Colorado , as well as teaching drama for three years. Around 2010, while living in Alaska, he became engaged. The relationship did not last, however, which is why he then moved to Los Angeles . In Los Angeles he was then in the series 1000 Ways to Bite the Grass , Criminal Minds , Chuck , Justified , Vegas , Bones and Lucifer in guest roles. In 2012 he was cast as Archie "The Ferg" Ferguson in a leading role in the Longmire series . He played this in all six seasons of the series until 2017.

Between 2014 and 2017 he played a small role in the series Navy CIS: LA A small role as Duke in This Is Us followed. In 2017 he appeared again in a police role in Annabelle 2 . He was also seen in film roles in Under the Silver Lake and Vice - The Second Man . Other guest appearances have since followed in Love, Death & Robots and The Magicians .

In addition to his acting activities, he is also a jazz singer . He also continues to teach drama in Los Angeles. He is an avowed fan of the Minnesota Vikings .
