Admiral Basketball Bundesliga 2012/13
The 2012/13 ABL season was the 67th season of the “ Admiral Basketball Bundesliga ”.
Season Notes
- Master of the 2012/13 season was BC Zepter Vienna , who prevailed against the Oberwart Gunners in the final .
- Cup winner of the 2012/13 season was Xion Dukes Klosterneuburg , who prevailed against BC Zepter Vienna in the final.
All Star Day
- The All-Star-Game 2013 took place in the Raiffeisen Arena Wels. The winners were the International All-Stars (all players with non-European citizenship) in the game against the European All-Stars (all players with European citizenship) in front of around 1000 spectators.
- Mike Dale was chosen as the MVP of the All-Star-Game . The UBSC Raiffeisen Graz forward was also the top scorer with 29 points.
- The victory in the dunking contest went to Darnell Gant from the Oberwart Gunners .
- Romed Vieider from WBC Raiffeisen Wels won the three-point competition .
Game mode 2012/13
Eleven teams took part in the Austrian basketball league. In the basic round there were 20 rounds on the schedule. The first six teams qualified for the main round 1 (H1), the remaining five teams for the main round 2 (H2) in which all results achieved up to then were "taken". In the main round 1 ten rounds were held and in the main round 2 eight. The six teams of the H1 were firmly qualified for the quarter-finals, in addition, the first two of the H2 qualified for the quarter-finals. In the quarter-finals, the first of the H1 played against the second of the H2, the second of the H1 against the first of the H2, the third of the H1 against the sixth of the H1 and the fourth of the H1 against the fifth of the H1 (each best-of-five ). The semi-finals and the final were also played best-of-five.
