Adolf Buchenberger

Adolf Buchenberger (born May 18, 1848 in Mosbach , † February 20, 1904 in Karlsruhe ) was a German economist and statesman in Baden.

Life

Buchenberger attended the Lyceum in Wertheim until 1866 and then studied camera sciences at the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg , the Ludwig Maximilians University and the Ruprecht Karls University of Heidelberg . He became a member of the Corps Rhenania Freiburg (1867) and the Corps Franconia Munich (1868). After the exams he entered the civil service of the Grand Duchy of Baden . He was an employee of the Ministry of Commerce (1878) and the Ministry of the Interior (1881). In 1893 he was appointed finance minister and Baden plenipotentiary at the Federal Council (German Empire) . For a long time he sat in the Baden and German Agricultural Councils , in whose archives he prepared reports on the homestead issue in 1891 and 1893 . In 1883 he headed the great Agrarian Quête , which served as a model for similar surveys in the Kingdom of Bavaria , the Kingdom of Württemberg , the Grand Duchy of Hesse and in the realm of Alsace-Lorraine . He wrote four volumes of the Enquêtewerk.
