Affair Nabob is a Franco-German fictional film made in France in 1960 with OE Hasse , Sonja Ziemann , Paul Guers and Perrette Pradier in the leading roles.
action
Serge alias Count Fornari is known as a noble crook and one day is commissioned by a stranger to steal an extremely valuable gem known as "Nabob". It got the name because its owner is actually a nabob , a billionaire named Démosthène. The multi-million dollar clunk, framed by a medallion, is worn by des Nabob's constant companion, the pretty, blonde Frenchwoman Jeanette. However, the young woman doesn’t stick to honesty either and one day steals the “Nabob” from her patron’s safe.
Serge clings to her heels and soon falls in love with Jeanette, who, like him, works with an alias ("Aménita"). However, your employer soon discovers the theft and believes (rightly) that only his lover could have stolen the piece of jewelry. When Jeanette threatens to be blown up, she manages to smuggle the valuable stolen goods, wrapped in a handkerchief, into Serge's pocket during the hotel ball and is therefore out of danger when the Nabob asks her to open her hands. Soon there is a wild chase with the three protagonists at the center of the action. Finally, the police intervened, and the investigating commissioner of the Kripo found out that the Nabob himself had given Serge the order to relieve himself of his own diamond.

Reviews
Paimann's film lists summed up: "A not unoriginal fable that has little of Guitry apart from humorous commentary, is staged with reliable interpreters ... in copious close-ups with little speed and ... whether its confusion may only be amusing for mentally agile viewers."
"The light-weight film - in the original material from the estate of Sascha Guitry - tires with noticeable lengths despite the reasonable performance of the actors."
