Aitkin is a small town (with a status of " City ") in Aitkin County in the US state of Minnesota . The census in April 2010. According to Aitkin had 2,165 inhabitants.

Aitkin is located northeast of the geographic center of Minnesota on the left bank of the Upper Mississippi at 46 ° 31'59 "north latitude and 93 ° 42'37" west longitude. The place extends over 5.7 km².
