Alan van Bentem (born September 12, 1986 in The Hague ) is a Dutch ice hockey player who has been under contract with Hijs Hokij Den Haag since 2002 . Since 2015 he has been playing with the club in the newly founded BeNe League .

Career

Clubs

Alan van Bentem began his career as an ice hockey player with Hijs Hokij Den Haag from his hometown. Since then he has played for the club from the provincial capital of southern Holland . In the 2002/03 season he made his debut in the club's second team in the Eerste divisie , the second highest Dutch division. Ice Hockey Eredivisie (Netherlands) 2004/05 he was then for the first time in the honor division on the ice. As a result, he and his team became Dutch champions in 2009 and 2013 . In 2011 and 2012 he won the Dutch-Belgian North Sea Cup and in 2012 the Dutch Ice Hockey Cup . Since 2015 he has been playing with the team in the newly founded BeNe League , which he won in 2018 as well as the Dutch championship.

International

For the Netherlands van Bentem took part in the games of the U18 World Cup in Division II in 2004 and the U20 Junior World Championships in 2005 and 2006, also in Division II.

In the qualification for the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver 2010 , which took place in November 2008 in Narva , Estonia , he made his debut for the men's national team .
