Albert Eisele

Albert Eisele (born December 15, 1890 in Rastatt , † December 28, 1971 in Lörrach ) was a German educator and local researcher .

Life

Eisele began his teaching career in 1910 in Sandhausen and Waldkirch . In 1911 he worked in Tegernau and in 1913 in Eichstetten . From 1914 to 1918 he took part in the First World War and in 1918 finished his military service as a lieutenant . He resumed teaching in Bischoffingen until he came to Kandern in 1926 , where he worked as a teacher until 1956 - most recently as the rector of the elementary school. In 1929 Eisele was one of the founding members of the Markgräflerland working group for whose magazine "Das Markgräflerland" he wrote 29 articles on local history. Many of the exhibits in the local history museum in Kandern come from Eisele's collecting activities. He is one of the co-initiators of the Hermann Daur Circle of Friends , who foster the memory of this Markgräfler painter. Eisele also helped found the Hertinger Hebelschoppen , which is dedicated to the memory of Johann Peter Hebel .

Eisele was a member of the NSDAP and was interned until 1948 after the Second World War .

Honors

In 1960 Eisele received the Cross of Honor of the Black Forest Association and in 1965 he was made an honorary member of the Markgräflerland working group and an honorary citizen of the city of Kandern. In Kandern the Albert-Eisele-Weg was named after him.

Works

In addition to the larger works listed below, Eisele published around 600 articles in magazines and newspapers. In addition to the magazine Das Markgräflerland, this also included Die Markgrafschaft , the Kandertäler Tagblatt , Der Alemanne , the Badische Zeitung , and the local newspaper Oberbadisches Volksblatt . On the occasion of a matinee for Eisele's 100th birthday, the Kandern City Archives received a collection of all available writings.
