Location of Albertshausen in Bavaria

Albertshausen is a district of the health resort Bad Kissingen in the Bavarian Lower Franconia , the major district town of the Bad Kissingen district .

Geographical location

Albertshausen is located west of Bad Kissingen and south of the nearby Bad Kissingen district of Poppenroth . Albertshausen can be reached from Bad Kissingen after a few kilometers via the B 286 and the St 2291 .

The St 2291, which passes Albertshausen, leads to Oberthulba , among other places, and at Oberthulba has a connection to the federal motorway 7 . The KG 18 performs Albertshausen and after Schlimpfhof, a part of Oberthulba.

The Embach runs between Albertshausen and the St 2291 .

history

Albertshausen was first mentioned in a document on February 24, 1592. It is uncertain whether the documentary mentions of 837 (donation of a piece of land by an Albrat to the Fulda monastery) and 1234 ( Alpharteshusen ) actually refer to Albertshausen.

Between the 16th and 19th centuries there were hat litigation between Albertshausen and neighboring towns such as Poppenroth , Garitz and Schlimpfhof.

In 1856 Johann Adam Sauerbrey donated his fortune of 20,400 guilders to a parish in Albertshausen, which was approved by King Maximilian II Joseph on February 14, 1856 (until 1856 Albertshausen belonged to the parish of Oberthulba ). According to legend, the foundation of the parish goes back to an event in Sauerbrey's childhood when there was a case of illness in his family and he was sent out during the night to fetch help; At that time he promised to found a parish if the family member recovered as soon as he had wealth. On Palm Sunday, March 15, 1856, Johann Gaß, the first pastor, came to Albertshausen. Albertshausen has been looked after by the Garitz pastor since 1989 .

The Fried Heuler Memorial Column in Albertshausener Strasse

On May 23, 1889, the sculptor Fried Heuler was born in Albertshausen , in whose honor the Fried Heuler memorial column was erected in 1997 at the former schoolmaster's house.

Electricity has been available in Albertshausen since 1921 (Albertshausen was initially supplied with electricity by the Aura / Saale cooperative electricity company and, from October 1995, by the Bad Kissingen public utility company). In 1924 Albertshausen and the municipalities of Garitz, Hassenbach and Schlimpfhof became a member of the Garitz supply group . This continues to this day, only Garitz has been getting his water from the Bad Kissinger public utility since 1972.

A sewer system was built in Albertshausen in 1952; it has been supplemented and repaired several times over the years; In October 1981, together with Poppenroth and Schlimpfhof, the construction of a sewage treatment plant followed.

On August 1, 1958, a storm caused great damage.

During the municipal reform , Albertshausen became a district of Bad Kissingen on July 1, 1972. First Albertshausen was to be incorporated into Oberthulba, but a little later (according to Mayor Michael Schießer at the instigation of pastor Friedrich Zahn) the incorporation to Bad Kissingen was preferred because as part of Bad Kissingen it was not the richest part of the city; the prospects for funding were thus more favorable. A vote on October 10, 1971 resulted in 93% against Oberthulba and 96% in favor of Bad Kissingen. The right of every Albertshauser to his own Christmas tree was retained even after the incorporation, but the Albertshausers were no longer allowed to cut the trees themselves in the forest, but were assigned them by the municipal forest office; later the right to one tree per family was restricted. The incorporation is now also accepted by the skeptics of the time, as Albertshausen would not have been able to cope with the investments that had become necessary in the meantime on his own. Nevertheless, the residents of Albertshausen, u. a. because of the spatial distance, still as a resident of an independent village within Bad Kissingen.

A land consolidation procedure in the 1970s enabled the long-cherished plan to set up an industrial area in Albertshausen. In the course of time, various companies such as Tabbert , the Kohlhepp moving company (both 1980) and the Schick construction company (1983) were built. In 1985 the Takata Petri company acquired the Tabbert company premises. Other companies that settled in Albertshausen were the mill construction company Schuhmann, Hassenbach (1987), and WEMA-Fahrzeugbau (1990). The Albertshausen industrial area now offers 1,000 jobs.

Albertshausen has been purchasing gas from the Bad Kissinger Stadtwerke supply network since 1982.

Albertshausen and Poppenroth have received pastoral care from the Garitz pastor since 1991 (until 1999 by Arno Stöcklein, since then by his successor Edwin Ziegler).

St Michael Church

The Way of the Cross in Albertshausen, created by sculptor Valentin Weidner, was created in 1903 .
