Albrecht von Lucke (* 1967 in Ingelheim am Rhein ) is a German publicist , lawyer and political scientist .

Life

After graduating from high school , von Lucke studied law and political science in Würzburg and Berlin . He has lived and worked in Berlin since 1989 and has worked as a freelance journalist since 1999.

In 2003 he became editor of the monthly political magazine Blätter for German and international politics . The magazine's office was relocated from Bonn to Berlin the following year .

In addition to his work for the newspapers , von Lucke also writes for other newspapers (including Friday , the daily newspaper and Vorwärts ). He also works for radio and television , where he contributes political commentary or takes part in discussions and talk shows (including ARD press club , Anne Will , Maybrit Illner , Maischberger , Markus Lanz , Bayern 2, WDR 5 Politikum, NDR Kultur and SWR2 Forum).

From Lucke's point of view, it belongs to a left-wing political spectrum . In his contributions on German domestic politics , he analyzes the tendencies in current political events and classifies daily political events in the larger contemporary contexts and developments.

This interest has also emerged in his book publications, which deal with the present-day significance of the West German movement of 1968 and the development from the Bonn to the Berlin republic . Albrecht von Lucke describes the Federal Republic of Germany as a "niche society" in which the public is increasingly receding and the willingness to conflict is decreasing. The short-term reassessment of the role of the state in the global economic crisis from 2007 only applies to the preservation of the system in the economic-egoistic self-interest of the citizens and conceals the need for fundamental changes. The future of democracy threatens to dwindle due to the return of friend-foe antagonism, reinforced by the foreseeable loss of the material basis.
