Aleksandar Mitrović ( Serbian - Cyrillic Александар Митровић ; born September 16, 1994 in Smederevo , Federal Republic of Yugoslavia ) is a Serbian football player . He is under contract with Fulham FC and plays for the Serbian national team .
Career
Stations as a club player
Mitrović played in his youth between 2005 and 2011 for FK Partizan Belgrade . In 2011 the striker received his first professional contract with FK Teleoptik , for which he scored seven goals in 25 games. In 2012 he went back to Partizan and played there in the 2012/13 season 28 games in which he scored 13 goals and was champions with the team at the end of the season. In 2013 he moved to RSC Anderlecht in Belgium . In the 2013/14 season he won the championship and the Supercup with the team . In July 2015 he moved to Newcastle United in the English Premier League and was relegated with the team at the end of the season.
National team
With his first professional contract Mitrović also made his debut in the Serbian U-19 . In 2013 he was elected U-19 European Champion and best player of the tournament ( Golden Player ). As a result, he was in the Serbian U-21 national team and made his debut in the Serbian national team on June 7, 2013 . In 2018 he took part in the World Cup with Serbia and was used in all three preliminary round matches. He scored one goal in the 1: 2 defeat against Switzerland . However, Serbia retired after the preliminary round as third in the group.
