Domesmont ( Picard : Domémont ) is a northern French municipality with 45 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the Arrondissement of Amiens and is part of the Communauté de communes du Territoire Nord Picardie and the canton of Doullens .

geography

The community is located about two kilometers southwest of Bernaville . In the west, the municipal area is closed with distinctive terrain levels.

Toponymy and History

Historically the community is referred to as Dommainmont (1130) and Dummemum.

A castle is attested to the 11th century. In the 12th century, the place was under the priory of Augustinian canons in neighboring Épécamps . The church was built in the 16th century.
