Rainneville ( Picard : Rinne Ville) is a northern French municipality with 997 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the canton of Amiens-2 .

geography

The municipality is located about ten kilometers north-northeast of Amiens on the D11 departmental road from Amiens in the direction of Pas-en-Artois and Arras , the course of which goes back to a Roman road. The distance to Villers-Bocage is around four kilometers.

history

The discovery of a Gallo-Roman pottery is evidence of the long history of the settlement.

The Corbie Abbey built in the Middle Ages the court Beauvoir, which was sold in 1565 and 1650 fell into ruins.
