The Chaussée Brunehaut in Surcamps

Surcamps ( Picard : Surcamp ) is a northern French municipality with 64 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Amiens and belongs to the canton of Flixecourt .

geography

The municipality, bounded in the northeast by a route along the Chaussée Brunehaut , which comes from Amiens , some 26 km away (today's Départementsstrasse 118), is located between Vauchelles-lès-Domart , Brucamps and Domart-en-Ponthieu .

history

On a hill in the Bois de Coroy in the east of the municipality lie the ruins of a rocket launching base of the German Wehrmacht that was built by French prisoners in 1943 .
