Vaire-sous-Corbie ( Picard : Vaire-DSOU-Corbeu) is a northern French municipality with 288 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Amiens and in the canton of Corbie and is part of the Communauté de communes du Val de Somme .

geography

Located in the valley on the southern bank of the Somme opposite Vaux-sur-Somme, as the crow flies, around three kilometers east of Corbie on the D71 departmental road, it extends in a narrow strip to the south as far as the D1029 departmental road, the former National Route 29 . A bridge (Pont de Vaux) connects Vaire with Vaux. To the east of the Somme valley lies the Marais de Vaire.
