Frettecuisse ( Picard : Fèrtchuiche ) is a northern French municipality with 74 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the Arrondissement of Amiens (since 2009) and is part of the Communauté de communes Somme Sud-Ouest and the canton of Poix-de-Picardie .
geography
The municipality is located about ten km west-southwest of Airaines and 5.5 kilometers east of Oisemont . The departmental road D29 from Oisemont towards Hornoy-le-Bourg runs through the municipality to the west. The western part of Le Fay on the road to Vergies belongs to it (the other part of Fay belongs to Vergies). At the Correaux farm (Carte IGN; to Base Mérimée: Ecoreau) in the south near the D26 département road are the ruins of a Templar chapel .
Toponymy and History
The community is mentioned in the Sélincourt cartel as Fracta coxa. Names such as Frate cuisse were later found.
Until the 16th century the place was dependent on the Balleien Airaines and Arguel . A school had existed in Frettecuisse since 1707.
