Lafresguimont-Saint-Martin ( Picard : Lafrédjumint-Saint-Martin ) is a northern French municipality with 550 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the Arrondissement of Amiens and is part of the Communauté de communes Somme Sud-Ouest and the canton of Poix-de-Picardie .
geography
The very extensive community, partially bounded in the south by the A29 autoroute , extends from Montroy Castle on the right (eastern) bank of the Bresle to the edge of Bézencourt in the Hornoy-le-Bourg community . It includes the four municipalities that merged in 1972 with the hamlet of Watiéville, the Saint-Jean homestead in the north and the Montoy castle. The northeast of the municipality lies on the upper reaches of the Liger river , which forms a right tributary of the Bresle . Montmarquet-Blangiel was served by the meter-gauge railway of the Société des Chemins de fer départementaux de la Somme until 1940/1947 ( Amiens - Aumale route ).
history
The municipality was created in 1972 from the merger of the municipalities of Lafresnoye, Guibermesnil, Montmarquet and Laboissière-Saint-Martin. The parish name combines elements of the name of the four original parishes.
