Béalcourt ( Picard : Biacourt ) is a northern French municipality with 104 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the Arrondissement of Amiens , is part of the Communauté de communes du Territoire Nord Picardie and belongs to the canton of Doullens .

geography

The municipality on the border with the Pas-de-Calais department lies on the left (southern) bank of the Authie river .

history

The place was first mentioned as Bealcurii in 1140. In 1507 Lancelot de Prouville was the feudal lord of Béalcourt.
