Bougainville ( Picard : Boudjinville ) is a northern French municipality with 448 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Amiens , is part of the Communauté de communes Somme Sud-Ouest and belongs to the canton of Ailly-sur-Somme .

geography

Bougainville is located about 2.5 kilometers southeast of Molliens-Dreuil and about eleven kilometers southwest of Picquigny .

history

Traces of a Gallo-Roman villa have been found. Bougainville is first mentioned in 1197. The rule paid homage to Picquigny and Lœuilly in the canton of Conty .
