Toponymy and Geography
The municipality named after a martyr from Amiens is located around nine kilometers east-southeast of Villers-Bocage .
history
In March 1918 the headquarters of the 3rd Division of the Australian troops under William Birdwood was moved to Saint-Gratien.

Attractions
- Castle restored by 1789 with corps de logis, horse stables, dovecote and chapel, registered as a monument historique since 1954 ( Base Mérimée PA00116241)
- Parish church of Saint-Gratien from 1864, which replaced a previous building, with a Way of the Cross donated by Empress Eugénie in 1866 .
