history
Namps-Maisnil was formed at the end of 1972 through the merger of the former municipalities of Namps-au-Mont (Picardy: Neusumont), Namps-au-Val (Neusuvo), Rumaisnil (Rumini) and Taisnil (Tini).
Under the Ancien Régime they belonged to different rulers; Namps-au-Mont in Famechon , Namps-au-Val in Rumaisnil, which in turn paid homage to Picquigny , and Taisnil was dependent on the Castellanei Picquigny.
Rights to a Gallo-Roman villa were found in the municipality.
A chair factory existed in Namps-au-Val until 1972 (Retourné-Mille).
