Hiermont ( Picard Hièrmont ) is a French commune of 150 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Amiens and the Canton of Doullens and is part of the Communauté de communes du Territoire North Picardie .

The community on the border of the regions Picardie and Nord-Pas-de-Calais is located about six kilometers southwest of Auxi-le-Château and 11.5 km northeast of Saint-Riquier and 16.5 km east of Crecy-en-Ponthieu on the former Route nationale 45 .

history

Prehistoric traces have been found in the municipality. The old fortified square was formerly called Mont-Sacré. It was devastated by Spanish troops in 1636; the castle was destroyed.
