Candas ( Picard L'Cando ) is a northern commune with 1,100 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France in north-western France . The municipality is part of the Communauté de communes du Territoire Nord Picardie and belongs to the canton of Doullens in the Arrondissement of Amiens .

Entrance to Candas

The sprawling parish is about 35 kilometers north of Amiens and seven kilometers east-southeast of Bernaville . The hamlet of Le Val Heureux, located far to the southeast, belongs to Candas. In the extreme southeast of the municipality are two wind turbines that belong to the Parc Éolien de la Tourette (mostly in the municipality of Naours ).
