Blangy-Tronville ( Picard : Blangin-Tronville) is a northern French municipality with 563 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Amiens , it is part of the Communauté d'agglomération Amiens Métropole and belongs to the canton of Amiens-4 (until 2015: canton of Boves ).

geography

Blanchy-Tronville is located in the Amiénois south of the boggy Somme, which forms a biotope (Grand Marais de La Queue) , around ten kilometers east of Amiens and eight kilometers southwest of Corbie . The municipal area crossed by the former Route nationale 29 and the Amiens-Laon railway line (with the Blangy-Glisy stop, which is no longer served) extends beyond the A29 autoroute . The district of Le Petit Blangy is located on the D1029, south of it is the Ferme de Bellevue.

history

Blanchy-Tronville emerged from the merger of the two eponymous communities.

Flint tools and tools from the Iron Age as well as Gallic coins were found during the preparations for the construction of the motorway. A Merovingian sarcophagus had been discovered earlier.

Two-thirds of the rule of Tronville belonged to Boves and one-third to Fouilloy . 1105 is called a leper house . In 1677 the still existing castle was built. Tronville ecclesiastically belonged to the parish Blangy.

The rule went Blangy the Castle rule (Châtellerie) Boves to fiefs that the county Corbie paid homage . The feudal Mairie was acquired by the Corbie Abbey in 1298 . At the beginning of the 17th century, Protestants held their meetings at a spring on the Pré des Huguenots. The church of Blangy probably originally served as a castle chapel (1229).

During the First World War , the community was occupied by German troops in September 1914, but they withdrew after a few days. In March / April 1918 fierce fighting broke out during the German attack on Villers-Bretonneux .
