Warlus is a French municipality with 222 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the arrondissement of Amiens and the canton of Ailly-sur-Somme .

geography

Warlus is about four kilometers south of Airaines on the former Route nationale 1 and forms a settlement complex with Tailly to the north .

history

Warlus is said to have developed around an old monastery that was under the Abbey of Saint-Pierre in Selincourt . The rule was in the hands of the de Créquy family.
