Allonville ( Picard : Alonville) is a northern French municipality with 738 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Amiens , is part of the Communauté d'agglomération Amiens Métropole and belongs to the canton of Amiens-2 .

geography

Allonville is located off the D919 département road around 5.5 km northeast of the center of Amiens and borders it. The municipality extends in the west to the Départementstrasse D11 and in the southeast to the Départementsstrasse D929 to Albert .

The rule of the castle rule (Châtellerie) went Picquigny to fiefs that the county Corbie paid homage . The castle on the heights, which had served as the headquarters of the Australian troops in 1918, was completely destroyed in 1944. Twenty Australian soldiers who died in Allonville in World War I are buried in the community cemetery.
