Morcourt

Morcourt is a northern French municipality with 312 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality belongs to the canton of Corbie and is part of the Communauté de communes du Val de Somme .

geography

The community is located in Santerre on the left bank of the Somme, which meanders here , opposite Chipilly, around 13.5 km east of Corbie and 13.5 km south of Albert and extends south to the D1029 département road (former Route nationale 29 ).

history

The community received the Croix de guerre 1914-1918 as an award .
