Velennes ( Picard : Vlène ) is a northern French municipality with 149 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Somme in the region of Hauts-de-France . The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Amiens and belongs to the canton of Ailly-sur-Noye .

geography

The municipality is located about five kilometers west-northwest of Conty north of the river Évoissons , which forms the southern municipal boundary. The farm L'Hirondelle in the valley of the Évoissons belongs to Velennes.
